The picturesque city of Atlanta is a travelers dream, with countless Instagrammable places at every turn, you’ll be left with a full memory card and a dead battery.

If you’re anything like me, you’ll want to plan beforehand and have a list of all the best sights and best things to do. Luckily for you, we have done all the hard work for you and found the top 18 most Instagrammable places in Atlanta.

There is everything from incredible street art locations, the Walking Dead TV show locations to panoramic city skyline views.

Atlanta Aquarium

Georgia Aquarium offers an experience like no other, this is one of the worlds most magical aquariums and a sight not to be missed. With more than 10 million gallons of water and thousands of different species, you will be lost for words.

You will see everything from manta rays, dolphins, penguins to the incredible whale shark where you can potentially get one of the best photographs ever! If you’re feeling brave visitors can even swim or dive with the whale sharks and manta rays.

A great educational fun day out for all the family, the kids will love it here. There are also gift shops, restrooms and a cafe which serves delicious pizza, pasta, salads, and desserts.

Botanical Gardens

Explore the magical 30-acre Botanical Gardens located adjacent to Piedmont Park. Here you will escape city life, enjoy a peaceful walk and admire the stunning flower sculptures and colorful gardens.

You will get some amazing pictures for your Instagram here that not many people will have seen before. The entry fee is on the high side, but hey, you’re on vacation so enjoy it, and the pictures you will get are certainly worth it.

Disco Ball Wall

Disco Kroger is situated right near Lenox Mall and features a huge wall painting covering the whole building reminding us of the disco scene from the early 80’s. The wall makes for some beautiful pictures that will light up your Instagram feed.

World of Coca Cola

Who would have known Coca-Cola was first invented as a medicine, well I didn’t. Immerse yourself in the wonderful world of Coca-Cola and taste a variety of different samples from all over the world.

There are plenty of interesting exhibits and you have got to get your picture taken with the Coca-Cola Bear. There’s plenty of Instagrammable opportunities that will put a smile on your follower’s faces.

You can take a VIP guided tour and also watch a 4D show, there’s no wonder that the World of Coca-Cola is one of the best things to do in Atlanta.

Atlanta Beltline

The Atlanta Beltline provides a unique way to get around the city offering incredible Instagrammable street art and sculptures along the way.

All the exhibitions and wall art span for several miles down the Beltline trail and are completely free, here is a handy map to help you find your way.

This spectacular city walk trail also offers great views of the skyscrapers and nice restaurants to grab a bite to eat along the way.

High Museum of Art

You are guaranteed to get that wow factor picture for your Instagram at the High Museum of Art. The dynamic exhibits and impeccable architecture will leave your followers stunned. The exhibits change frequently giving you the chance to grab lots of photo opportunities.

Centennial Olympic Park

Built for the 1996 Olympic Games, this park offers great photo shoot opportunities, especially sitting in the Olympic rings. This public park offers free weekly concerts, dancing water fountains which the kids will love and a memorial quilt to remember the victims of the 19996 Olympic bombings.

Krog Street Tunnel

If you’re looking for some eye-catching funky street art the city has to offer, then you need to head down to Krog Street. The tunnel is an underground magnet for street artists and art lovers alike, you can get your photoshoot with no interruptions.

Don’t just stick to the tunnel though, explore the surrounding areas as the art is at every turn. It’s highly likely that you’ll see professional photoshoots and music videos being filmed here too. Krog Street is not to be missed if you’re looking for something a bit different for your Instagram.

Piedmont Park

This beautiful 185-acre park is situated in the middle of the city and is home to the Botanical Gardens. You will get some amazing city views from Piedmont Park that make up Atlanta’s skyline.

If the weather is good then why not take a dip at the public swimming pool. There’s also tennis and basketball courts, and plenty of space to relax, play with the kids or have a picnic.

In the spring and summer, you will find a weekly farmers market and keep an eye out for special events as the park hosts multiple festivals throughout the year.

Jackson Street Bridge

Jackson Street Bridge is one of the most iconic and Instagrammable bridges in Atlanta, not only does it offer incredible panoramic views of Atlanta’s skyline but it’s also famous because it’ from the opening scene of the hit TV Show “The Walking Dead”.  

Sunset is a beautiful time to go, however, be prepared as it will get busy with people all wanting the same shot. Ideally, get there early to avoid the crowds.

Boombox Doors – The Music Room

The Music Room’s boombox painted doors have become an Instagram favorite, and it’s easy to see why. The doors make for a quick and easy photo shoot, but best of all its reasonably quiet as it’s most active when the sun goes down, so you can get the perfect pose.

Atlanta Braves Baseball game

Catch a ball game and watch the Atlanta Braves, or take a guided tour where you will get to go on the field, sit in the dugout, tour the stands and visit the press box. The view from the higher stands is pretty awesome.

There’s plenty of stuff to do around the stadium too, from great food, play areas, and zip lining. While you’re in the area you could stay at the Omni Hotel at the Battery where you can swim in the rooftop pool and admire the view of the stadium, a sight to behold!

The King Center

A trip to Atlanta is not complete without visiting the King Centre. A trip here will give you goosebumps and leave you feeling very humbled. Visitors have said after visiting the King Center they felt inspired, it’s a must-see, left me in tears, gave me chills and so on. Yes, more street art. You will find this ‘Atlanta’ street art downtown between College Football Hall of Fame and STATS. This particular piece would make a nice memento from your vacation and would go down a treat on Instagram.

Little 5 Points

This offbeat funky neighborhood is a throwback from the 1960s offering a nice alternate scene to the Atlanta city life. It’s very hip and urban offering vintage and unique clothing shops, gift shops and cafes.

Downtown Atlanta

The Fox Theatre

The Fox Theatre has recently been resorted to its original look from the 1920s and boasts a wonderful ambiance from years gone by, making it an awesome location for Instagram. This gorgeous theatre currently hosts Broadway musicals, comedy, and dance shows.

So when you’re in Atlanta be sure to check it out and go watch a musical. Great for everyone, from families, adults or children, there are lots of delicious restaurants around and plenty of parking too.
