#1. Witches & Wizards Fun day Southport

Why not head to Southport for some spooky cartoon workshops, scary face painting and a creepy trail are just a sample of the free activities going on at the Atkinson this Halloween. This family fun day is celebrating all things witch, wizards and monsters. Why not come dressed up and join cartoonist Paul Hardman and creation station for a morning of art and craft.
#2. Spooky Welly Walk, Sherdley Park

The Spooky Welly Walk is a two mile, Halloween themed, family walk through Sherdley Park with over 20 different Trick or Treat activity stations.
Strike a pose in the Pumpkin Patch, dare to dig through the Yucky Dip stand, take a ride on the mini fairground rides and look out for Halloween surprises along the route.
Each child who finishes the walk will receive a medal from Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation’s very own mascot, Samantha the Panther.
#3. A Hidden Halloween, Tatton Park

Known as the most haunted building in the UK, can you step into the spooky Old Hall? We dare you!!
Tatton Park’s old hall will leave you buckling at the knees, discover paranormal activities and learn about secret legends, on a frightful trail filled with lots of clues through the Medieval home of Tatton’s ancient ancestors.
Down at the Farm you can Journey through the mystery maze and discover lots of surprises on your adventure.
#4. The Enchantment of Chester Zoo

Back for its second year and even better than last year, The Enchantment of Chester Zoo is full of adventure, acrobatics and music. The kids will learn lots about all the animals at the zoo with a bit of a spooky twist. Gather lots of clues on your adventure from animals such as the giraffes, and monkeys. You will then gather at the Owl HQ and share everything you’ve learned.
#5. Pumpkin Festival Martin Mere

At Marin Mere you can create your very own pumpkin that you can take home with you. There are also 15 carved pumpkins hidden around the grounds for you to find and be in with a chance of winning an amazing prize. You can also learn to fly a broomstick and get a souvenir picture!
#6. Little Monsters Ball

Bring spooky little monsters along to this fun free fancy dress party. With lots of surprises, fun and games this is a fantastic party for the little ones. Expect there to be lots of singing, dancing, crafts, face painting, spooky activities and much much more.
Fancy dress optional with a prize for the best dressed. There will be a small charge for face painting and crafts but entry is free.
#7. Halloween Pudding Night

Adults will indulge on five amazing and completely unique puddings carefully made by the Liverpool Cake Company as well as a glass of witch’s punch upon arrival.
Children can enjoy playing traditional Halloween party games and a feast full of sweets, treats and cakes, all washed down with a glass of child-friendly punch. There will be raffles, competitions, face painting and entertainment
#8. Spring City Halloween Party

Head to Spring City trampoline park for fun and games. There will be ghostly music playing though out the night whilst you go crazy with a game of dodge-ball, basketball or just even bounce around. Tickets are £12 and include spooky food, haunted grotto, activities and games plus a fancy dress competition.
#9. Magical Circus Halloween Party

Traditional Halloween games with Misty and Dracula plus disco games and competitions, also we will choose the ‘Best Costume and Best Pumpkin’ so don’t forget to dress your best and bring your own ‘real’ carved pumpkin for the chance to win a prize, all this in a friendly and fun environment. The incredibly popular Spooky World returns again for another year at Apple Jacks farm. Apple Jacks hosts a whole heap of fun in the day for families and young children, and is then transformed into a thrilling scare-fest at night.
If you have what it takes to complete the five scare-mazes all while running from creepy clowns and zombies, then this is the challenge for you. There will also be a 4-D truly terrifying experience to attempt as well as costumes like you have never seen before.

Blakemere Village is known for organising fantastic family events throughout the year, but this one is sure to give you chills. Fun for both children and adults at the Zombie Pirate Treasure Trail this half term as you can discover the hidden items left by the Zombie Pirates many years ago. Ness Botanical Gardens have a large programme of events during the Halloween season. There’s the Spooky Tree Trail during half term, Family Crafts on the 25th, 27th, 30th October and 1st November, as well as The Dracula Show on the 31st October.

It’s the spookiest time of the year at Lyme, who knows what may be lurking in the woods? With the spookiest stories being told in The Cage and the scariest pumpkins being carved in the Timber Yard, only the bravest should dare visit this Halloween!
These spooky storytelling sessions last 30 minutes but please give yourselves plenty of time to get to the creepy Cage on the hill!
