The one thing I wanted when I visited Niagara Falls was a room with a view!! I wanted to wake up and fall asleep looking out at the Falls.

We looked at every hotel and decided on The Embassy Suites by Hilton. The views from the rooms looked amazing so we went ahead and booked a Falls view Suite.

When we arrived at the Embassy Suites it was a foggy day so we couldn’t even see the Falls! Typical or what! The hotel lobby was bright and impressive. We were asked if we wanted to upgrade to a “Falls view” room which is what we thought we had booked but apparently we only got a partial view!

Check in was swift and we were told that between 6-7pm there is a Complimentary Evening Reception where snacks and certain beverages are complementary.

The Embassy Suites is situated looking over Niagara Falls and has Panoramic views of the Falls. Only 40 minutes from Buffalo airport and 1 hour 40 from Toronto, its pretty easy to get to.

On site there is a TGI Fridays and the Keg Steakhouse offering breath taking views whilst you eat! It has to be one of my favourite places I’ve ever eaten breakfast! Breakfasts are made to order and buffet. There is also a pool, gym and hot tub to relax in after a day exploring Niagara. Keep reading to see the stunning view of the falls from the breakfast area.

Our room

As we opened the door to our suite it opened straight into the living room area with a sofa, tv, safe and a lot of useful information laid out. There is also a small kitchenette which is always helpful when you have small kids.

We were so excited to see the view from our suite and we were not disappointed, the view was breathtaking. I could sit there all day and just look out! The windows were floor to ceiling which just made the experience even better.

The Room consisted of 2 queen beds which were very comfortable and looked straight out to the Falls!

There was wifi but you did have to pay for it, however it is free in the lobby and in the restaurants.

Be aware that if you want the best possible view you will have to upgrade at the lobby, it may be worth taking them up on it if you want the best possible experience.

The Food

The breakfasts at the Embassy Suites are very impressive! They have made to order stations for omelettes and eggs (Great for me with my wheat allergy) and also a continental and hot Buffett if you prefer to choose your own.

The variety was outstanding and best of all is the view from the restaurant! Floor to ceiling windows looking directly out to the Falls! Amazing!!

Access to the Falls from the hotel

The Niagara Falls incline railway is just fantastic! So handy with kids and it’s right next to The Embassy Suites. It provides a quite link from the hotel area down to Table Rock Centre and it’s open all year round and completely accessible. The views down of Horseshoe Falls is stunning and it only takes a couple of minutes.

  • It costs $5.50pp for a round trip and $2.75 one way. Children under 5 are free.

  • It’s open 9.00-9.30pm Monday-Thursday and Saturday

  • Friday & Sunday 9.00am -10.30pm

Best places to eat at Niagara Falls

The Embassy suites actually recommended a restaurant to us and it is also featured on their website. The Outback Steakhouse is just a short stroll from the Embassy Suites. The Outback Steakhouse specialises in Steaks, ribs, chicken, seafood and pasta dishes.

We absolutely loved the food here and would recommend it to families as they gave our son a little colouring pack which kept him nice and occupied so we could eat our dinner. They also have a great menu for kids. I would highly recommend the ribs! Yum! My mouth is actually watering thinking about it!!

After a long day out exploring the Falls TGI Fridays at the Embassy Suites was just perfect and so convenient. Food is always lovely here and the welcoming environment makes it a great place to spend an evening. They also have children’s colouring packs to help keep the kids entertained. Bonus!

Id recommend the jack Daniels ribs they were amazing!!

Location

The Embassy Suites is the closest hotel to the Falls, only 100 yards, this is exactly why we booked it! It is located on Fallsview Boulevard next door to Niagara Falls View Casino. The hotel is surrounded by lots of restaurants and is the perfect location for exploring the local area. I would most definitely stay here again because the location was fantastic!

How to get to The Embassy Suites from Toronto

We decided to catch the greyhound bus instead of the train. It costs around £40pp each way and takes around 2 hours depending on the bus you choose.

We also saw the MegaBus and looked up how much that cost, it was considerably cheaper at £24pp return and took the same amount of time so may be worth looking in to.

Amtrak offer up to 13 departures a day making it an easy journey to the falls.
